The Recla Group, a South Tyrolean family-run business specialising in the production of Speck Alto Adige PGI, Würstel and traditional South Tyrolean cured meats, announces the acquisition of Delicatesse, a company based in Concorezzo (MB), which specialises in the preparation and packaging of meat-based specialities. The transaction, completed on 22 October 2026, represents a further step in the company’s growth and diversification strategy, thereby expanding its presence in the Italian food specialities sector whilst investing in new expertise and development opportunities.
Recla S.p.A. and Delicatesse will continue to operate as two distinct companies, each with its own identity, organisation and production specialisation. The Recla factory in Silandro will continue to focus on the products that have always defined its identity, starting with Speck Alto Adige PGI, alongside the other specialities in its range. Delicatesse, on the other hand, will continue to focus on the production of high-quality Italian beef specialities, a category that is not currently part of the Silandro factory’s product range.
These are therefore two companies with different but complementary areas of expertise. The acquisition will not entail any changes to Recla S.p.A.’s production organisation, nor will it result in job cuts or staff transfers from the Silandro plant. The Recla family will continue to manage the South Tyrolean company directly, continuing the path of investment, innovation and quality enhancement that has characterised its development over the years.
The acquisition reflects a growth strategy that does not aim to standardise different businesses but rather to enhance their distinct characteristics while preserving the wealth of experience and expertise each contributes
